So what size would you suggest for a woman that is 5'7" & is normally a size 8 or medium ? I want a comfortable fit - not tight but not overwhelming either. Thanks !

Based on your height and description, your best bet would be the Medium size. It will be comfortable enough to move around in without looking slouchy or baggy.

I generally wear XL sizes and would like to make sure this is large enough. I'm 5'11" and 230 Lbs. Would the XXL be too large or just allow extra for more comfort?

Based on your height and weight, your best bet would be the XL size. You can certainly size up to the XXL for a looser fit should you choose to.
